One of Europe’s leading transport and logistics companies, Gebrüder Weiss (GW), will be the first tenant of the Pt2 warehouse in HelloParks Páty Megapark. The company will lease 22,000 sqm of the 42,000-sqm industrial property, currently under development as the second building of the industrial park, less than 10 kms west of Budapest, and will move into the new building in summer 2024.
HelloParks, which has been growing dynamically in the market for less than two and a half years, has already started construction work on its 9th speculatively developed building in Hungary with the PT2 hall, according to the company’s statement. HelloPark warehouses currently under construction are built exclusively to the highest Outstanding BREEAM New Construction standards and EU Taxonomy requirements, so PT2 is also aiming to achieve the most stringent certification available. The industrial property is being built directly adjacent to the recently granted occupancy license for the 58,000 sqm PT1, for which lease negotiations are also at an advanced stage for the remaining leasable areas.
HelloParks, which started with a start-up spirit, has become the first in Hungary in terms of new warehouse supply in just a few years, competing with the largest domestic and international industrial property developers. Despite the recent market and economic uncertainties, the company has been delivering new warehouses around Budapest. The dynamic growth is due to a well thought-out and sustainable development concept, favorable business conditions and customer-oriented services.
“The new logistics base, strategically important for the Gebrüder Weiss Group, can become a prime location for new business acquisition in addition to the existing center – even in the short term – and we have tried to choose the optimal solution for our operations, both in terms of location and service level,” Balázs Bencsics, GW’s national logistics product manager, said in connection with the transaction.
