The warehouse hall FT1 of HelloParks, an industrial real estate developer belonging to the Futureal group, meets the EU taxonomic requirements for sustainable investments. The company’s building located in the megapark in Fót was the first industrial building in the country to obtain this certification.

In the industrial real estate segment, the FT1 building of HelloParks megapark in Fót is the first in Hungary to comply with the EU Taxonomy. The EU Taxonomic Regulation (EU 2020/852) is one of the cornerstones of the European Green Agreement, which aims to put the EU on a carbon-neutral path by 2050. The EU Taxonomy provides a classification system that defines environmentally sustainable economic activities and helps companies, investors and decision-makers align their efforts with more sustainable practices. Obtaining certification requires compliance with a strict set of criteria, including, among other things, energy efficiency, water and biodiversity protection, pollution prevention, and circular economy aspects. FT1 certification by ABUD Mérnökiroda Kft. carried out by ASPA Mérnök és Szakértő Kft. based on his professional opinion. The verification confirms that the construction of the new building – based on the EU Taxonomy criteria system – significantly contributes to mitigating climate change, does not harm the other taxonomic environmental target areas, and that the developer complied with the minimum social safeguards.

“We are proud that, in addition to obtaining the BREEAM New Construction Excellent certification, our FT1 warehouse in Fót also meets the requirements of the EU Taxonomy for “construction of new buildings as an economic activity, mitigation of climate change as an environmental protection objective”, which is currently unique in the domestic industrial and logistics market. This milestone not only shows the environmental benefits of the building, but also our commitment to greener and more sustainable industrial solutions”

– said Anna Bencze, head of sustainability at HelloParks.
